VoltSlide is built from the ground up with a strict privacy-first philosophy. We believe that your personal telemetry, charging receipts, electricity bills, and vehicle data belong exclusively to you. This Privacy Policy governs the VoltSlide iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Siri & Shortcuts actions, and iOS Share Extension (collectively, the "App") and explains our practices regarding data collection, storage, and processing.

• No User Accounts or Registration: You are not required to create an account, log in, or provide any identifying personal information (such as your legal name, email address, or phone number) to use VoltSlide.
• Zero Tracking & No Third-Party Analytics SDKs: The App contains no third-party analytics frameworks, advertising trackers, or telemetry SDKs. We do not monitor your feature usage, session durations, or interaction patterns, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• 100% On-Device Vision OCR (Screenshots & Share Extension): When you batch-import charging receipts from your photo library or use the iOS Photos Share Extension to ingest screenshots from FordPass, Tesla, Rivian, Electrify America, FLO, ChargePoint, or EVgo, all optical character recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Apple's native Vision framework. Your photos, screenshots, and extracted text are never uploaded to any remote server or seen by the developer.
• Camera & Photo Library Access: Access to your camera or photo library is strictly user-initiated and optional, used solely to attach vehicle photos, receipt snapshots, or parse screenshot receipts. Attached photos are stored within your local device container or, if iCloud Sync is enabled, your private iCloud account, and are never transmitted to the developer.
• Optional Location, Geotagging & Map Picking: With your permission ("While Using the App" only), VoltSlide uses Apple Core Location on iPhone and Apple Watch to drop a charger pin, remember where you charged, and suggest nearby saved charging locations. The App never accesses your location in the background. Saved coordinates are stored on your device or in your private iCloud account. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings and still enter locations manually.
• Apple Maps Services: To show the interactive map, convert coordinates into a readable address (reverse geocoding), search for an address, or find nearby EV chargers, the App uses Apple's MapKit and Core Location services. When you use these features, the relevant coordinates or search text are sent to Apple to return results. This processing is performed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy, and the developer never receives this information.
• Notifications, Siri & Shortcuts: Optional reminders (such as odometer, home-energy, service, and charging follow-up reminders) are scheduled locally on your device and are never sent through a developer server. If you use VoltSlide actions with Siri or the Shortcuts app, those requests are handled by Apple's system services on your device.
• Vehicle Metrics & Energy Logs: Vehicle details, odometer readings, charging kWh, gasoline fill-ups, utility Time-of-Use rate schedules, road trips, expenses, and service records remain strictly within your local device storage or private iCloud account.
• In-App Purchase & Payments: The optional VoltSlide Pro lifetime unlock is processed directly and securely by Apple via StoreKit. VoltSlide does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment details. The App only receives a confirmation from Apple that your Apple Account is entitled to Pro.

• Local Native Storage (SwiftData): By default, all vehicle records, charging sessions, and preferences are stored only on your device in native SwiftData storage.
• Optional iCloud Sync (CloudKit & Key-Value Storage): If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, VoltSlide uses Apple's CloudKit private database and iCloud Key-Value Storage to sync your data across your Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account (iPhone, Apple Watch, and upcoming iPad & Mac apps). This data is stored in your private iCloud account, is encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest, and is end-to-end encrypted if you have enabled Apple's Advanced Data Protection. The developer does not operate any servers and has no access to your private iCloud data.
• Local Companion Sync: Communication between the iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, widgets, and Share Extension occurs on-device or directly between your paired devices using App Groups and Apple WatchConnectivity.
• Full CSV Export & Backup: You have complete data portability. You can export a human-readable CSV backup of all vehicle data, charging sessions, gas logs, expenses, and service records at any time from Settings. Exported files are saved wherever you choose (for example, the Files app), and are then under your control.
• Data Retention & Deletion: Because your data resides only on your devices and in your personal iCloud account, you control how long it is kept. You can edit or permanently delete records at any time, erase all data via Settings → Danger zone → Erase database files, delete the App, and remove VoltSlide's iCloud data via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. The developer holds no copy of your data and cannot recover it for you.

VoltSlide relies on Apple platform services (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, MapKit, Core Location, and Siri & Shortcuts), and your use of those services is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. VoltSlide keeps a local, on-device diagnostic log to help troubleshoot unexpected issues; it is never transmitted automatically. If you have opted in to Share With App Developers in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), or if you submit feedback through TestFlight, Apple may provide the developer with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics that do not identify you. You can change this setting at any time.

If you contact us at support@voltslide.app, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message (such as screenshots or a CSV file). We use this information only to respond to your request, do not add you to any mailing list, do not share it with third parties, and delete it when it is no longer needed to support you.

VoltSlide is an electric vehicle utility application intended for licensed drivers and vehicle owners. The App is not directed toward children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions), and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children.

Depending on where you live (for example, under Canada's PIPEDA, Québec's Law 25, the EU/UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. Because the developer does not collect or hold your App data, you can exercise these rights directly within the App using the export, edit, and erase tools described above. We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features or platform requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date and noted in the App's What's New section. Your continued use of the App following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Please review these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") carefully before downloading, installing, or using the VoltSlide iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, widgets, Share Extension, or related services (collectively, the "App"). The App is developed by Alex Pandelidis of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ("the developer", "we", "us").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using VoltSlide, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must uninstall the App and stop using it.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use VoltSlide for personal, non-commercial purposes on compatible Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

• Free Core Features: Core EV and PHEV tracking, CSV import/export, and iCloud Sync are available free of charge. Certain features (including the Apple Watch app, widgets, additional garage vehicles, and premium themes and app icons) require VoltSlide Pro.
• Price & Payment: VoltSlide Pro is an optional, non-consumable, one-time in-app purchase priced at $9.99 CAD (or the local equivalent set by Apple in your region). Applicable taxes, billing currency, and conversion rates are determined by Apple and shown before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• No Subscriptions: VoltSlide does not offer subscriptions, auto-renewing plans, or free trials that convert into paid plans. You will never be charged again for VoltSlide Pro after your one-time purchase.
• Family Sharing: VoltSlide Pro supports Apple Family Sharing, allowing up to five other members of your Family Sharing group to use Pro at no additional cost.
• Future Features: Pro includes future 2.x Pro features as they are released. Roadmap items (such as iPad and Mac apps) are planned but not guaranteed, and their scope and timing may change. The App may change over time, and we may add, modify, or retire individual features to keep it working with current Apple platforms.
• Restoring Purchases: You may restore your purchase at any time on any compatible Apple device signed in with the same Apple Account using the "Restore Purchases" button in VoltSlide Settings or the Pro paywall.
• Refunds: All purchase transactions and refund requests are handled by Apple under its App Store policies and must be requested directly through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). The developer cannot issue refunds directly.

• Safe Operation & Distracted Driving: VoltSlide is a utility tool intended strictly for informational tracking, expense management, and efficiency analytics. You must never interact with the App (on iPhone, Apple Watch, or widgets) while operating a motor vehicle. Safe operation of your vehicle and compliance with all road safety and distracted driving laws remain your sole responsibility.
• All Figures Are Estimates: VoltSlide uses mathematical modeling and the data you supply to estimate vehicle efficiency (e.g., kWh/100 km, mi/kWh, L/100 km, MPG), charging and running costs, cost per kilometre or mile, Time-of-Use utility costs, gasoline comparison savings, forecasts and run-rates, battery health, and environmental equivalents (such as CO₂ saved, trees, or flights avoided). These figures are provided for informational and personal budgeting purposes only. They may contain errors, rounding differences, or bugs, may not match your vehicle's instruments, utility bill, or receipts, and must never be relied upon for navigation, range planning, or safety-related decisions.
• Built-In Presets & Reference Values: Regional Time-of-Use rate presets (for example, Ontario, Hydro-Québec, BC Hydro, Nova Scotia, New York, California, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and UK schedules), default gasoline prices, benchmark comparison vehicles, and emissions factors are general reference values compiled at a point in time. They may be outdated, incomplete, or not applicable to your plan or region, and you are responsible for reviewing and adjusting them.
• Screenshot & Receipt Parsing (Vision OCR): OCR and screenshot import are inherently imperfect and depend on third-party app layouts, fonts, languages, and image quality, which can change at any time without notice. You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming every extracted value (kWh delivered, cost, date, time, and location) before saving it. The developer is not liable for incorrect, missing, or duplicated records resulting from imported screenshots.
• Automatic Matching & Duplicate Detection: Features that automatically suggest or apply information — such as duplicate and overlap detection, matching a session to a saved charging location by proximity, assigning a Time-of-Use rate tier, or pre-filling odometer and cost values — are conveniences only. They may flag, skip, or classify entries incorrectly, and you should review the results.
• Maps, Addresses & Charger Search: Maps, addresses, and nearby charger results are provided by Apple and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. VoltSlide does not verify charger locations, availability, compatibility, pricing, or access. Always confirm details with the charging network before relying on them.
• Reminders & Notifications: Odometer, home-energy, service, and charging reminders depend on your device settings and iOS and may be delayed or not delivered. They are not a substitute for your vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule, warranty requirements, or recall notices.
• Utility Rates & Tariffs: Utility rate schedules, delivery fees, regulatory charges, and Time-of-Use windows change frequently. You are solely responsible for keeping your in-app rates consistent with your energy provider's current billing structure.
• Not Financial, Tax, or Professional Advice: VoltSlide is not an electronic logging device (ELD), certified mileage log, tax software, or accounting system, and nothing in the App is financial, tax, legal, or purchasing advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any records you submit for business mileage, employer reimbursements, insurance, or tax filings (such as with the CRA or IRS). The developer is not liable for disallowed deductions, audit penalties, rejected claims, or financial decisions made using the App.
• Data Backup, Sync & CSV Import: While VoltSlide provides local storage and optional Apple iCloud synchronization, data loss, duplication, or sync conflicts may occur due to software bugs, operating system updates, device loss, iCloud account changes, or network conditions. CSV imports may fail or produce incorrect records if files are modified or malformed. You are responsible for keeping regular CSV backups using the App's export feature. The developer is not liable for lost, corrupted, or unrecoverable data.
• Third-Party Brands: VoltSlide is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Ford, Rivian, Electrify America, FLO, ChargePoint, EVgo, any vehicle manufacturer, charging network, or utility. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

You retain all rights to the vehicle records, logs, photos, and other content you create in the App. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the information you enter and for any content you choose to export or share (for example, PDF reports, CSV files, or shareable cards).

All rights, title, and interest in and to VoltSlide — including the software code, algorithms, interface layouts, Liquid Glass designs, logos, graphics, icons, and written documentation — are owned exclusively by the developer. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, nor create derivative works based upon it, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, MERCHANTABLE QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP OR ANY CALCULATION, ESTIMATE, IMPORT, OR SYNC WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR SAVINGS — INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM CALCULATION ERRORS, INCORRECT ESTIMATES, OCR OR IMPORT ERRORS, OUTDATED RATES OR PRESETS, MAP OR CHARGER INFORMATION, MISSED REMINDERS, SYNC FAILURES, DEVICE OR BATTERY ISSUES, RANGE MISCALCULATIONS, STRANDING, VEHICLE DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, ROAD ACCIDENTS, TAX DISALLOWANCES, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR VOLTSLIDE PRO, OR (B) TEN CANADIAN DOLLARS ($10.00 CAD).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies you may have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract — including, where applicable, Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, Québec's Consumer Protection Act, or the consumer laws of the EU or UK — and in those cases the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any traffic, driving, or motor vehicle safety laws; or (c) your misuse of the App or of records, reports, or figures generated by it.

You acknowledge and agree that:

1. These Terms are between you and the developer only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). The developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for VoltSlide and its content.
2. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
3. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
4. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
5. In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, the developer, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
6. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a Canadian or U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any Canadian or U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
7. You must comply with applicable third-party terms (such as your wireless carrier's terms) when using the App.
8. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have to bring proceedings where you live, you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Your license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with these Terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms cease and you must delete all copies of the App. Sections 4 through 12 and 15 survive termination.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date, and material changes will be noted in the App. Your continued use of VoltSlide after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the App.
